MISSION STATEMENT

The Cherokee Healing and Wellness Coalition is committed to enhancing the lives of the people by honoring and reclaiming the seven Cherokee core values especially by the reduction of substance abuse in a comprehensive manner primarily focusing on youth. The seven core values are: SPIRITUALITY – HARMONY – EDUCATION – SENSE OF PLACE – HONORING THE PAST – STRONG CHARACTER – SENSE OF HUMOR.

Who We Are

The Healing and Wellness Coalition is comprised of representatives of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Tribal Diabetes Program, Analenisgi, BIA Social Services, Tribal Domestic Violence Program, various other tribal programs, several churches, traditional spiritual leaders, elders and interested community people.

How You Can Help

People can help by attending Coalition meetings and working on some of our projects, providing financial support, grant writing or ideas for fund-raising, letting others know about us, participating in our events and praying for us.  To provide financial support, click the Donate button below to contribute an amount that you are comfortable with.  Most credit and debit cards are supported.  With your financial support, you can help us preserve our heritage.  Thank You!
